Animal instinct – the print for autumn

There is no escaping the animal print trend this autumn – every shop window, magazine front cover, and style post on social media seems to be adorned with spots, stripes and scales. From snakeskin to zebra – animal is in. We are pereninal fans of leopard print – in every shade. From a classic beige, to a splash of neon. Whilst many shy away from this ‘wild’ print in fear of it looking cheap – there are so many styles out there this season – from muted grey-on-grey colourways for the faint-hearted, to small nods to this bold look through accessories and shoes that make it wearable for everyone. Here are our top tips:

leopard print coat

A tailored piece, like this long-line masculine coat from Sosander (£149) is a grown-up, elegant way to wear leopard. It seems ridiculous to class leopard as a ‘neutral’, but all that really means is that it goes with everything. Denim, black, smart, casual… it can be dressed up or down making it super wearable.

boden leopard print shoes

These ‘Rosie Slippers’ (£98, Boden) are a great ‘splash’ of more subtle ‘snow leopard’ – peeping out from beneath trousers, these elegant ponyskin and suede flats will be super comfortable and perfectly on trend – a winning combo in our book!

leopard print cashmere scarf

Our range of leopard print scarves sell all-year-round, but this season they have been a particular bestseller. From a subtle winter white, to our 100% cashmere neon green, black and cobalt blue colourway. Layered over our block-colour tees they are the perfect pairing for an on-trend autumn look.

A super easy, inexpensive way to dip your toe into the leopard print look is with a belt. This £30 number from La Redoute will look classic with denim, or to add personality to your work wardrobe. Try a ‘French Tuck’ with your blouse or shirt to flash your on-trend accessory.

leopard print dress

Another subtle way to wear leopard is to opt for a delicate, smaller print – like this dress from & Other Stories (£49). Perfect layered over one of our long-sleeve tees.

leopard print co ord set

Finally, if you’re ready to dive head first into the trend – this red leopard print co-ord blouse and trouser set from Zara (£25.99 each) is amazing. Or why not opt for the trousers with one of our LTD Collection black tees for a more subtle take?
