Holiday Edit: The finishing touches to your summer wardrobe

There is something extra special about a holiday wardrobe - the pieces that you may keep packed away for 10 months of year (especially if you live in the UK!) but that immediately put you in the holiday mood. They may be pieces you've had for years that have sun-soaked memories woven into them, or prints, fabrics and styles that you wouldn't normally wear on home soil but that feel right in far-flung climes - lighter, brighter and more daring. Here are some of the pieces I reach for again and again, that will be accompanying me on my travels this summer:

My panama hat is the first part of my holiday wardrobe I pack - it comes with me on every summer trip and not only acts as practical protection from the sun, but is that finishing touch that makes me feel polished and put together. Lock & Co based on St James' Street is the 'oldest hat shop in the world' furnishing the heads of everyone from Oscar Wilde to Winston Churchill - their panamas are made authentically in range of heritage shapes, from a dramatic wide brim to this smart, classic style.

Our new collection of silk velvet clutches for summer have almost sold out but I've kept this one back for myself. The envelope style, with oversize silk tassel is the ideal foil to white summer dresses - it's the perfect 'not too big, not too small size' and it comes with a versatile gold chain strap, too. I already know it's going to be a summer holiday staple.

When it comes to sunglasses, I love a dark lense, oversize tortoiseshell frame. A square shape suits me best and I love the modern classic style of Oliver's Peoples handmade frames.

I hand-picked our capsule collection of summer jewellery to compliment the simple neckline of our tees; the finishing flourish to add a pop of colour and fun on holiday. These organic leaf earrings are my current favourites, I love the way they move and the nod to this season's botanical print trend.

castaner espadrilles

I am a style creature of habit - if I find something that I love, I will buy them in bulk  - like Castaner's iconic wedge espadrilles. I have them in a range of colours and heel heights - from vertiginous to my daily run around pair. They're great with cropped denim, maxi dresses and midi skirts. A pair of leather slides and that's my summer shoe wardrobe sorted.

I always pack one of our lightweight, modal print scarves - they're big enough to double as a sarong on the beach and are great for adding a bit of colour to the neck of a white tee.
