Frill Seeker: Statement Sleeves for Spring
From catwalk runways to red-carpets and street style influencers - the statement shoulder, festooned with frills, puffs and dramatic volume has been a fashion favourite for 2019, and it doesn't look to be going anywhere for SS20 either...
Here's a few key looks and how to wear them this spring:
Frill shoulder
We love a statement shoulder at YUNION T HQ and it's design details just like this that are the signature of our LTD Collection. Frill detailing can feel romantic and feminine, yet powerful too. Women worry about it making them look 'broad' but a statement shoulder is actually a great feature to balance out your proportions if you are pear shape, for example - or to add stature to a narrow frame.
If you're making a statement with a frill shoulder tee, focus on a simple silhouette for your bottom-half, think cropped jeans, or cigarette pants. That doesn't mean you can't go bold on colour! Classic Blue (Pantone's Colour of the Year) and Scarlet Red (another key trend) make for perfect pairings with our crisp white tees.
Flared sleeve
A favourite for spring, the 3/4 flared sleeve tee has a pretty, feminine, retro vibe. The flattering bell-shaped sleeve with frill cuff is great if you don't love your arms and as with all the t-shirts in the YUNION T collection, the premium gauge cotton/Lycra blend ensures it's 100% non-see through and moves with your body for a flattering fit. This season we'll be pairing ours with high-waisted, wide-leg jeans and adding a touch of print with one of our animal print belts for a 70s inspired look.
